This program showcased the less-hailed bluegrass musicians of the northeast and was aired by Charter TV as a music bed for their community bulletin board. Available in the 16 town Charter viewing area it featured the many bluegrass musicians of New England and north eastern New York, with occasional visits by national artists. Criteria to qualify to be on this show was simple. At least one musician in your band had to have been a resident of New England or eastern NY, for any amount of time, including college days. Air time for the Bluegrass Showcase was Fridays 10:10 am with a repeat on Sundays at 2:00 pm.
Note: In 2019 Charter’s headquarters decided to no longer allow their studios to broadcast music selected by interns and that henceforth, the only music broadcast on Channel 192 would be music selected by the headquarters of Spectrum, the new and improved Charter TV company.
