Shadow of the Son

Some days are hard to handle, some nights are way too long
Sometimes the trouble’s more than I can bear
I can get to greener pastures, I can see my way quite clear
I can tell you how I’ll get from here to there.

I travel with the Father, and the Holy Ghost
And I’m walking in the shadow of the Son.

When the skies are filled with dark clouds, lightnin’ flashing everywhere
I can move on to a place where skies are fair.
I can walk away from trouble, I can move right past that fire
I can tell you how I’ll get from here to there.

I travel with the Father, and the Holy Ghost
And I’m walking in the shadow of the Son.

I have often felt the devil and you know how hard he tries
Just to claim your soul, he’ll show up anywhere.
There’s a place where he can’t reach me, it’s the journey that I’m on
I can tell you how I’ll get from here to there

I travel with the Father, and the Holy Ghost
And I’m walking in the shadow of the Son.
Yes I travel with the Father, and the Holy Ghost
And I’m walking in the shadow of the Son

Lord Are You Watching Me

Lord are you watching me, watching right over me
Keep me from going astray ‘long the way
For I need you to guide me, to help me, to smile at me
Lord are you watching today.

This life that I’m living, the one you gave to me
I’m trying my best to live well
And I want so to please you, to do my best for you
But oh how I need you, to help me, to guide me
For I’m just your servant who’s trying my best for you
Lord are you watching today.

Lord are you watching me, watching right over me
Keep me from going astray ‘long the way
For I need you to guide me, to help me, smile at me
Lord are you watching today.

I’ve seen many faces, been many places
I’ve closed many doors on it all
A light there before me, has shown the path for me
But sometimes I’ve stumbled, I’ve had many falls
But it would be much easier, knowing you’re watching me
Lord are you watching today.

Lord are you watching me, watching right over me
Keep me from going astray ‘long the way
For I need you to guide me, to help me, smile at me
Lord are you watching today.

I Owe It All

I owe it all, I owe it all.
He gave me everything
All that I wanted, all that I needed
I owe it all, I owe it all.

I have my family, I have my home place
I have my eyes that, can see it all
All of my friendships, and all my loved ones
He gave it all. He gave it all.

I owe it all, I owe it
He gave me everything
All that I wanted, all that I needed
I owe it all, I owe it all.

A place in Heaven, for my saved loved ones
Where they are waiting, for me to call
A life unending, with God forever
He gave it all. He gave it all.

I owe it all, I owe it
He gave me everything
All that I wanted, all that I needed
I owe it all, I owe it all.

Hello Lord

Hello Lord
© 1987, Myrna Riquier (BMI)

Have you said hello, to the Lord today
Without asking Him to do you a favor
You could start right away, say hello Lord today
And not only bring your troubles to His door.

We can call upon the Lord, to help us with our foe
Even ask Him for sunshine and a rainbow
When our days are trouble free, no signs of jeopardy
Do we call upon Him just to say hello.

Have you said hello, to the Lord today
Without asking Him to do you a favor
You could start right away, say hello Lord today
And not only bring your troubles to his door.

Say hello Lord. It’s just me. Hello Lord.

How much do we really need, and is it really fair
Are we using up somebody else’s share
If we need Him He will know, we won’t have to tell Him so
Why not call upon Him just to say hello

Have you said hello, to the Lord today
Without asking Him to do you a favor
You could start right away, say hello Lord today
and not only bring your troubles to his door.

You Chose Me
© 2014, Myrna Riquier (BMI)

You’ve given me all I’ve ever needed, so many blessings I can’t deny
Lord you’ve made me feel very special, You chose me and I’ll never know why.
You chose me and I’ll never know why

I do what I can to help others, try to fix things when something is wrong
But I selfishly take all you give me, when I know for sure all along;
That others are suffering and dying, small children starving to death
Though I treasurer all that you gave me, I’m wondering why I’ve been so blessed.

You’ve given me all that I’ve needed, your blessings I’ll never deny
Lord you’ve made me feel very special, You chose me and I’ll never know why.

I know I’ve had more than I’ve needed, more than I ever have earned
But who’s taking care of those little ones, they too need your love and concern;
Lift them up out of despair Lord, from their sickness and hunger set free
In far away lands where they’re dying, are they wondering why you chose me?

‘Cause you’ve given me all that I’ve needed, your blessings I’ll never deny
Lord you’ve made me feel very special, You chose me and I’ll never know why.

I try to help those that I meet Lord, when I see that they’re needing a hand
I know I can’t help everyone Lord, but You and I both know that You can.
‘Cause you’ve given me all that I’ve needed, your blessings I’ll never deny
Lord You’ve made me feel very special, You chose me and I’ll never know why.
You chose me and I’ll never know why.
